Finally!

Yesterday I finally mailed off my absentee ballot. And at this point, even though I casted my own vote, I really don't care who wins. Sounds horrible, but for me, reading through all the websites was a little overwhelming. Both candidates had one major thing each that I really didn't like. So then it was just up to me deciding which of the "little things" I liked better. You have no idea how relieved I was to hand that envelope over to the post master. The next time I vote I really don't think it will be so bad. But trying to figure out if I was Republican or Democrat and then researching the candidates started to feel like home work to me.

To top it off I had checked a memoir book about Obama out from the library. And I just couldn't get into it. But I made myself read it. Why? I don't know. I even went into the library once to renew it, only for them to tell me that it was already over-due and that someone else had it on hold when I returned it. So, what was my solution? To keep it selfishly until I finished it. Yesterday I was also able to return that. And, by some small miracle, I didn't owe the approximate $5 in late fees I had mentally calculated. I think the librarian must have accidentally deleted them. That did put an extra bounce in my step!

So now life can go back to reading my much loved Chick-Lit books, surfing the net, and promoting my new TBSAH business!
*No, I didn't really mean what I said about not caring who wins the election.

Oh girl, I know what you mean about being so ready for the election to come to an end. It's been such an ugly race and I'm ready to move on...hopefully with my man as President, though! I'm pretty nervous about it.

I am really glad you voted and I am ready for it to be over. But it won't really be over because which ever side does not win will spend the next several months complaining about the fact that they did not win but they should have.

Good for you getting your vote out there. Today I finally sent my mail-in ballot out. Yes, I agree, am ready for the election to be over. The phone calls have been flowing in for the past few weeks too. Aunt Dottie

Ditto on the phone calls. We get at least 3 a day. Plus I'm on an internet polling group and I am sick of filling those things out! This has been a LONG election in that they started showing stuff on TV 2 years ago. Not only are we sick of it but I have talked to my friends who live in other countries and THEY are sick of it too.
I voted early yesterday with the kids. In and out in about 10 minutes. Andy is there this morning, he said there are 30 or more ahead of him and that's the ones not in the door yet. LOL I had a hard time finding the right door because there was no line. We were going to go together this morning but when the line was so low yeasterday I couldn't wait with having to have the kids with me. It sure beats the hours we would have had to stand in line with them on Tuesday.
Happy voting to all you who still have to do it. Belinda, I hope you did a mail in. Ihear the lines in TX are LONG.
